01 / How we spotted the problem

We needed it
for our own data.

Our products handle sensitive information: invoices and payroll in Pulse Suite, contracts and tax data in Nordovi. At first we used a cloud AI service, like almost everyone. Every query left the company and was paid for by usage.

We decided to build our own AI infrastructure in Europe and move our products' AI features there. We moved seven out of eight. The cost per query dropped to zero and the data stopped leaving.

Along the way we learnt what really takes the effort. It isn't the hardware: it's connecting AI to real systems and making sure each person only sees what they should. In Suite, each company's assistant can only access that company's information.

We also learnt that your own model doesn't have to be worse: with your information properly prepared and controlled steps, it answers accurately, cites its sources and says ‘I don't know’ when it should.

  • Hardware: if it's installed on your own hardware, the hardware is charged at cost, with no mark-up, and it's yours.
  • No usage fees: you don't pay per user or per query. The fee is the same whether one person uses it or the whole team.
  • Zero access: our updates only touch the software. We don't access your information; it's in the contract.
  • Ownership: the model tuning and your prepared knowledge are yours. If you cancel, we hand them over.
  • Extra sources: connecting more sources than included is quoted before we do it.

What people usually ask us.

01How is it different from a frontier model in the cloud?

Frontier models process information on the provider's servers and are excellent for general tasks. Here the model runs on your own hardware or on a dedicated European server, with your information, and you don't pay per user.

02What hardware do I need if I want it in my office?

It depends on the use. We recommend the right hardware with its real price; you pay for it at cost and it's yours.

03Is it as good as the large models?

For questions about your information, yes: it answers from your documents and cites the source. For general creative tasks, the large models still have the edge.

04What happens if I cancel?

We hand over your prepared information and the model tuning. No minimum term.
